The model came as DC only, so work was required to convert it to run on DCC.
First, eight screws were removed from the underside of the model, which enabled the body to be removed from the chassis.
The power pickup wires were separated from the motor.
Next, the decoder, speakers, and stay alive were located on the chassis and wired to motor and track pickup wires.
The motor calibration was fine tuned and a VR Hitachi EMU sound project loaded to the decoder. Following testing, the body was reattached to the chassis.
