ESU & Zimo Manufacturers' warranties
All decoders pre-programmed from DCCSound are verified as functional (aka fit for purpose) prior to shipping to our customers:

Motor circuit
-
Lighting functions
-
Correct sound project load (if part of a transaction for a sound decoder)

Sound output including speakers (if attached by DCCSound)
ESU LLC offers a 2 year "manufacturers' warranty" from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions:
1) The decoder has not been damaged, modified or altered beyond the point of sale.
Examples of alteration include but are not limited to:

Removal of the 8 pin plug

Removal (including partial) of the heat shrink material around the decoder

Connection of any stay-alive product not completed by DCCSound
2) The sound amplifier has not been short circuited across the speaker outputs or to the models chassis or rail
3) The decoder has not been fitted to a model in a way that it was not designed to be fitted

If the decoder is damaged, ESU does offer a repair service for decoders. This is not free of charge but subject to a nominal fee. Please contact DCCSound if you have a an ESU decoder that you wish to have repaired. Otherwise ESU can be contacted directly if the consumer prefers.
Zimo offers a 2 year "manufacturers' warranty" from the date of purchase.

Our goods come with guarantees which cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for amajor failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
