Items used:

ESU 59620 LokPilot 5 DCC 8 pin decoder

Disassembly:

1) Remove both coupler assemblies and set aside.

2) Gently pull the complete body assembly up and away from the chassis.

3) Remove the 8 pin plug and store in a safe place.

Installation:

1) Plug the decoder in to the 8 pin socket, noting the orange wire is Pin 1 and should correspond to P1 on the model's 8 pin socket.

2) Neatly arrange the 8 pin harness and any unused wires from the decoder, such that they are terminated and cannot contact any metal parts.

3) Apply Kapton tape or equivalent to hold the decoder and wires in place.

4) Optional: If fitting a LokSound decoder, room for a speaker exists in the fuel tank.

Reassembly:

1) Carefully refit the body, ensuring no wires are damaged during reassembly.

2) Refi the coupler assemblies previously removed.
