SAR 700 class by Austrains

This installation is based upon the "DCC ready" 700 class Austrains produced.
Items used
ESU 58420 LokSound 5 DCC Micro decoder
DCCSound premium speaker to suit Austrains 700 class model
LEDs for headlight including 470-1000 ohm resistors & headlight mounts
Disassembly
Remove the body from the chassis by gently splaying out the body's lower edge then lifting the body from the chassis.
Remove the factory fitted tape from the 8 pin plug and Austrains motherboard.
Remove the headlight globes and wires, as these are replaced with LEDs.

Installation
Using double sided tape, fix the decoder to the chassis where the Auscision motherboard was located.
Wiring:
Decoder red wire to track RHS pickups (the RHS is the fireman's side)
Decoder black wire to track LHS pickups
Decoder orange wire to motor orange wire
Decoder grey wire to motor grey wire
Decoder white wire to a resistor and then to the # 1 end LED headlight -ve terminal.
Decoder yellow wire to a resistor and then to the # 2 end LED headlight -ve terminal.
Decoder blue wire to the +ve legs of each LEDs
Decoder brown wires to the speaker (speaker drivers are wired in parallel and in phase)
Fix the speaker to the chassis with double sided tape or glue.
Fit the headlight mounts to the SMLEDs and fit these to chassis (should be light friction fit)
Secure all wires neatly in place with Kapton or equivalent tape, and then the body can be reapplied to the chassis with installation now completed.
