Items used:
ESU 58429 LokSound 5 DCC or Zimo MS 440D 21-MTC decoder
DCCSound Premium speaker for the SDS 900 class
Disassembly of body from chassis:
1) Turn model upside down and place on a soft, supportive surface
2) Remove four screws, two either end of fuel tank from underside of chassis
3) Remove couplers
3) Pull the body away from the chassis
Next, remove the 21 pin dummy plug and plug the 21 pin decoder in place as shown above.
Remove the factory fitted speaker from the motherboard; it is held in place with four locating pins.
Fit the DCCSound speaker to chassis with some glue or thin, double sided tape and wire to the decoder's speaker outputs. When fitting the speaker, take care not to crush the red and black bogie wires, locating the wires into the reliefs provided under the speaker enclosure.
Test run the model then reinstall the body to chassis, refit the couplers and 4 screws under the chassis.
