To remove the body from the chassis, first the couplers must be removed.
The body then lifts off from the chassis.
Two screws holding the motherboard to the chassis are removed and the motherboard lifted up by a few millimetres from the chassis.
The image below shows the orientation of the speaker in the model. The speaker driver (silver component) faces down in the model.
However it requires wires to be attached which then run direct to the speaker solder pads on the decoder.


The speaker wires are soldered to the speaker then the speaker is fitted between the motherboard and chassis, with the decoder plugged in. Note in this installation the decoder's white sticker or NEM600 socket faces down once mounted. Also, ensure the two speaker wires are not crushed by the chassis/PCB near where they attach to the decoder.
The body and couplers are then refitted.
The image below shows the aftermarket speaker fitted, along with the original factory speaker next to the model.
